BackColor Property (CellStyle)
Example

Gets or sets the background color of the Cell.
Syntax
<DefaultValueAttribute()>
<SRCategoryAttribute("Appearance")>
<SRDescriptionAttribute("Indicates the background color of the Cell.")>
<RefreshPropertiesAttribute(RefreshProperties.Repaint)>
Public Property BackColor As Color
Dim instance As CellStyle
Dim value As Color

instance.BackColor = value

value = instance.BackColor
[DefaultValue()]
[SRCategory("Appearance")]
[SRDescription("Indicates the background color of the Cell.")]
[RefreshProperties(RefreshProperties.Repaint)]
public Color BackColor {get; set;}

Property Value

A System.Drawing.Color value that represents the background color of the Cell. The default is Color.Empty.
Remarks
Some special Cells, such as ButtonCell or HeaderCell, use the VisualStyle BackColor property to draw by default. If you want to use the CellStyle's BackColor, you can set the FlatStyle property to System.Windows.Forms.FlatStyle.Flat. You can set the visual style backcolor with the ButtonCellBase.UseVisualStyleBackColor property. Set the FlatStyle property to System.Windows.Forms.FlatStyle.Standard.
Example
The following code example shows how to use this property to customize the cell appearance. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the CellStyle class.
void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
            // All cell's will use default cell style.
            gcMultiRow1.RowsDefaultCellStyle.BackColor = Color.Black;
            gcMultiRow1.RowsDefaultCellStyle.ForeColor = Color.White;
            gcMultiRow1.RowsDefaultCellStyle.SelectionBackColor = Color.FromArgb(100, SystemColors.Highlight);
            gcMultiRow1.RowsDefaultCellStyle.TextAlign = MultiRowContentAlignment.MiddleRight;

            // The cell's in alternating Rows
            gcMultiRow1.AlternatingRowsDefaultCellStyle.GradientColors = new Color[] { Color.FromArgb(25, 25, 25), Color.FromArgb(75, 75, 75) };
            gcMultiRow1.AlternatingRowsDefaultCellStyle.GradientDirection = GradientDirection.Backward;
            gcMultiRow1.AlternatingRowsDefaultCellStyle.GradientStyle = GradientStyle.Horizontal;
