GrapeCity MultiRow Windows Forms Documentation
MaxLength Property (ComboBoxCell)
Example

Gets or sets the maximum number of characters possible in the editable portion of a combo box.
Syntax
<SRDescriptionAttribute("Indicates the maximum number of characters that can be entered into the ComboBoxCell.")>
<LocalizableAttribute(True)>
<DefaultValueAttribute()>
<SRCategoryAttribute("Behavior")>
Public Property MaxLength As Integer
Dim instance As ComboBoxCell
Dim value As Integer

instance.MaxLength = value

value = instance.MaxLength
[SRDescription("Indicates the maximum number of characters that can be entered into the ComboBoxCell.")]
[Localizable(true)]
[DefaultValue()]
[SRCategory("Behavior")]
public int MaxLength {get; set;}

Property Value

A System.Int32 value that represents the maximum number of characters the user can enter. The default is 0.
Remarks

If set to a value less than zero, the property value is reset to zero, which is the default value.

The default value 0 means there is no restriction on the MaxLength.

This property only takes effect when DropDownStyle is MultiRowComboBoxStyle.DropDown. If the length of the item value is more than the MaxLength property, the user can still select the value.
