ComponentOne TabStrip for ASP.NET AJAX: TabStrip for ASP.NET AJAX Quick Start > Step 1 of 3: Adding C1TabStrip to the Page

Step 1 of 3: Adding C1TabStrip to the Page

In this step, we will add a C1TabStrip to a Web page.

Complete these tasks.

1.   Create a new ASP.NET Ajax-Enabled Website project.

Note that as you've created an AJAX-Enabled Web site, a ScriptManager control initially appears on the page.

2.   In the Solution Explorer window of your project, right-click on References and select Add Reference. Add the C1.Web.UI.2 reference to your project.

3.   Right-click on the toolbox and select Add Tab and enter "Palomino" into the Tab text box.

4.   Right-click on the Palomino tab name and click on Choose Items. The Choose Items dialog box appears.

5.   Click the Browse button to browse to the default location on the assembly file, C:\Program Files\ComponentOne Studio for WinForms\bin\, and select C1.Web.UI.Controls.2.

All of the controls from the assembly, C1.Web.UI.Controls.2 appear highlighted in the Choose Toolbox Items dialog box.

6.   Select the highlighted controls and click OK.

7.   The controls in the Visual Studio Toolbox appear under the Palomino tab.

8.   While in Design view navigate to the Visual Studio Toolbox and double-click the C1TabStrip icon to add the C1TabStrip control to your page.

The C1TabStrip appears as an empty tab.
