Allowing the User to Enter Formulas
Spread WPF Documentation > Developer's Guide > Managing the User Interface > Using Formulas > Allowing the User to Enter Formulas

Users can enter a formula in a cell by starting with an equals sign (=). Type the equal sign and then the formula such as = sum(A1+B1). Use Ctrl + Shift + Enter to create an array formula after entering the formula.

You can use the CanUserEditFormula property to prevent this.

Using Code

The following example allows the user to enter formulas.

CS
Copy Code
gcSpreadSheet1.CanUserEditFormula = true;
VB.NET
Copy Code
GcSpreadSheet1.CanUserEditFormula = True
