String containing the note for this cell

When the pointer is over a cell that has a cell note, the cell note text displays in a little box next to the cell. Cells with notes do not display any indication that they have a note, other than displaying the note when the pointer moves over the cell.

You cannot put notes in cells in the column or row headers.

This example creates a Cell object and supplies a note for the cell. When the user passes the mouse over the cell, a note appears at the mouse pointer.
