This set of release notes includes changes from the previous release, resolved issues and version details.
Enhancements from the Previous Release
This version of the product has the following enhancements from the previous release:
- Now, users can use the intersect formula and the mixed reference formula while working with Formula text box.
- Spread for WinForms now supports the "External Reference" feature that allows users to create and manage references to a cell or a range of cells in another workbook.
- Apart from English, Spread for WinForms will now provide extensive support for eighteen built-in language packages along with custom language package. The supported built-in languages include - Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
- A new keyboard shortcut key : Alt + "=" has been introduced for the "AutoSum" feature.
- Cell range filtering and sorting has been introduced. Users can now sort and filter a cell range in a worksheet just like in Excel.
- Spread for WinForms will now provide an Excel-like formatter and editor to users that will enable users to work with different data types without any hassle.
- Importing and exporting the pattern and gradient fill effects to an Excel file is now supported with many different color shades, patterns and effects.
- Users can now add formulas to headers and footers while executing calculations on the spreadsheet.
- Spread for WinForms now supports the Auto Row Height feature that enables automatic adjustment of row height based on the data present in the row.
- Now, users can create and use symbolic variables (logical cells defined by symbols) in worksheets.
- Some of the major enhancements have been done in the User Interface in order to improve the visual appeal along with essential functionalities, customize appearance and apply Excel-like themes to the worksheets:
- The new Default skin concept has been introduced that supports the Excel 2016 Colorful Office theme.
- The new Spread Theme allows users to apply formatting with respect to custom theme colors, theme fonts and theme effects.
- A new DocumentProperties dialog has been introduced in order to allow end users to customize the workbook properties like the name, title, author, subject, keywords, comments, category, other summary details and document contents etc.

Resolved Issues
- Loading a Farpoint 9 XML document in Farpoint 10 no longer throws an exception. [251071]
- While using spread for WinForms in MVC applications, the Azure App Service now deploys successfully without any issues.[259861]
- Cursor will now be displayed in the cell even the users are working in cell editing mode. [265114]
- GetStyleFormat method now works correctly in the editing mode. [265220]
- While importing a file, the borders throughout the workbook now appear properly. [245984]
- The sorting feature now works correctly even when the property AutoGenerateColumns set to boolean false. [254769]
- When a cell is spanned, clicking the "Reset Selected Property" for 'Formula Property" in Spread Designer will no longer throw an exception and works flawlessly. [254857]
- While expanding the child node in hierarchical view, the values in parent row are now displayed accurately. [257722]
- Right-aligned text now overflows to adjacent cells. [223837]
- Users can now load the SS6 files into the Spread control or the designer using Italian language package. [258603]
- Importing or exporting a workbook using ExcelSaveFlag now works correctly. [262991]
- While exporting to Excel, the Korean font characters now appear appropriately. [265099]
- While exporting to a PDF file with ComboBox, the text in the exported PDF file now appears properly. [252652]
