ComponentOne WebChart includes a design-time control for use by ASP page designers. This control provides a visual method of setting any chart component property. The control uses the standard, documented ComponentOne Chart property pages, with the addition of a new property page specific to the design-time control. This design-time control can serialize all of its properties as script.
Similar to the server-side component, the design-time control is built to interact with ComponentOne Chart. Microsoft Visual InterDev communicates with the design-time control, which in turn communicates with the ComponentOne Chart OCX control.
The metadata that is generated is parsed automatically by the component, so the ASP developer can reload and modify the ASP page source at any time.
