The data source is defined by the ConnectionString, RecordSource, and Filter properties. These are regular Report properties and may be set using the Property Window and clicking on the background area where there are no sections.
Or click the DataSource button to get a dialog that allows you to set the ConnectionString and RecordSource properties directly.
