Start a new VB project, and then add the following controls to the main form:

A ComponentOne VSDraw control (from VSVIEW7.OCX).

A CheckBox control.

Two command buttons.
Set the Nameproperty of the controls to the following:

VSDraw control to vd.

CheckBox control to chk.
-
Command buttons to cmdPie, and cmdBar.
Set the Caption property of the command buttons to the following:

&Pie Chart
-
&Bar Chart
Set the Caption property of the CheckBox to the following:

Actual Size
Also, set the form's Caption property to "VSDraw Charts" or something more meaningful than "Form1".
Align the command buttons and check box along the top of the form and size the vd control so that it fills the remaining portion of the form. Your form should look like this:
