Some string properties, such as NumberFormat, support both text entry and selection from a predefined list. In this case, you can type the desired text into the edit control or select the desired item in the list. You can also use the edit control's context menu to paste text from the Clipboard.
Note that the list of predefined items may be empty. For example, if you have not set the list's DataSource property, then selecting the DataField property of a Column object will not display any field names.
