TDBNumber Keyboard Interfaces

The following table lists all key interfaces that are supported in the drop-down calculator:

Changes the sign of the display number.

Decimal point

. (period) or the character defined by the DecimalPoint property

Inserts a decimal point.

Inserts the number in the calculator view window.

Calculates the reciprocal of the display number.

= or Enter

Performs a calculation if an operation is pending. If not, the Enter key applies the contents of the view window to the control, closing the calculator.

BS

Backspace

Deletes the last digit of the display number.

C

Ctrl+Delete

Clears the current calculation.

CE

Del

Clears the display number.

M+

Ctrl+P

Adds the displayed number to any number already in memory.

MC

Ctrl+L

Clears any number stored in memory.

MR

Ctrl+R

Recalls the number stored in memory. The number remains in memory.

MS

Ctrl+M

Stores the displayed number in memory.

 

Esc

Cancels the result and closes the drop-down calculator.

 

Enter

Performs a calculation if an operation is pending (like "=" key). If not, applies the contents of the view window to the control, closing the calculator.
