True DBInput Pro 8.0 is a collection of data-aware ActiveX input controls and objects designed for Microsoft Visual Studio and other development tools.
True DBInput Pro 8.0 includes dozens of advanced data access, data presentation, and user interface features that enable developers to build intuitive, professional-quality applications quickly and easily. Use the True DBInput controls to create data input features such as dates, times, holidays, masks, numeric functions, tax calculations, and so on. The True DBInput controls can even be used with True DBGrid Pro 8.0! For example, you can place a customized dropdown calculator, calendar, or text entry window within a True DBGrid control to help users with their data entry tasks.
True DBInput Pro 8.0 contains eight ActiveX input controls and five ActiveX objects designed specifically for database applications that require comprehensive, robust, and versatile user input validation.
The core of this product consists of the following set of ActiveX data input controls:
TDBCalendar allows you to design a date information display in a graphical monthly format.
TDBContainer3D is a specially designed and optimized 3D effect container for all of the True DBInput controls.
TDBDate is used for setting the beginning of a fiscal year, fiscal quarter, first month of the fiscal year, and more. This is an ideal choice for financial or personal applications.
TDBMask has the versatility to define any kind of data entry mask for standard or custom formats, character filtering, reference table creation, and data validation.
TDBNumber and TDBNumLite offer choices for positive and negative number display and manipulation, color association with data values, range checking, plus much more.
TDBText can be used for entering large amounts of text into a memo or comments field and also for character filtering.
TDBTime has facilities for manipulating minutes, hours, and seconds.
The creatable ActiveX objects include:
The TDBDateX object, which has settings for detailed date and time information, and can be used as an extended object for the TDBDate and the TDBTime controls.
The TDBDTCalcX object can be used when calculating dates and times in terms of amount and not actual values.
The TDBFinancialX object can be used for financial applications that require complicated tax calculations.
TDBHolidayX, which provides the ability to manage holidays, and can also be used in conjunction with the TDBCalendar control.
TDBTZoneX calculates time differences between two different time zones for international time awareness.
Three handy dropdown controls deliver additional functionality. The dropdown Calendar allows users to pick or select a date with a single keystroke, as well as define the calendar’s appearance. The dropdown Calculator permits entry of calculated data into selected fields automatically. The dropdown text entry window provides an expanded view for editing multiline text fields.
