EraYear Property (TDBDateX)
The EraYear property returns the number of years since the appropriate Emperor ascended to the royal throne. This property is useful for international developers working with Japanese dates.

Read-only at run time. Not available at design time.
When the Value property equals Null, or exceeds the range from 1868/09/08 to 2087/12/31, the EraYear property will return a -1.
