Set Up Files

The ComponentOne Studio for ActiveX installation program will create the following directory: C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\Studio for ActiveX. This directory contains the following subdirectories:

File	Description
Chart 8.0	Contains a README.TXT file with information about the Chart 8.0 library.
Utilities	Contains conversion utility for upgrading projects from version 7.0 to 8.0.

The following files will be installed into your Windows\System32 directory or, if you use Windows NT, into your WinNT\System and WinNT\System32 directories. To use Chart 8.0 in your Visual Basic projects, you must include these files in the project:

OLCH2X8.OCX	Contains the 2D Chart Active X control for the OCX development environments.
OLCH3X8.OCX	Contains the 3D Chart Active X control for the OCX development environments.
OLCH2D8.DLL	Contains the 2D Chart Active X control for the DLL development environments.
OLCH3D8.DLL	Contains the 3D Chart Active X control for the DLL development environments.

The following help files will be installed into your Windows\Help directory:

oc2d8api.chm	Contains the Chart 2D API Reference online help topics.
olch2d8p.chm	Contains the Chart 2D Programmers online help topics.
olch8t2.chm	Contains the Chart 2D Tutorial online help topics.
olch2d8u.chm	Contains the Chart 2D Users online help topics.
oc3d8api.chm	Contains the Chart 3D API Reference online help topics.
olch3d8pp.chm	Contains the Chart 3D Programmers online help topics.
olch3d8u.chm	Contains the Chart 3D Users online help topics.

Note: If you are using a 64-bit machine and need to use ComponentOne ActiveX controls in Visual Studio, you must install both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of the controls.
