Event Data

The event handler receives an argument of type System.Windows.Input.KeyEventArgs containing data related to this event. The following KeyEventArgs properties provide information specific to this event.

PropertyDescription
HandledGets or sets a value that marks the routed event as handled. A true value for Handled prevents most handlers along the event route from handling the same event again.
KeyGets the keyboard key associated with the event.
OriginalSource (Inherited from System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs)
PlatformKeyCodeGets an integer value that represents the key that is pressed or released (depending on which event is raised). This value is the nonportable key code, which is operating system–specific.
Remarks
This event overrides System.Windows.UIElement's KeyDown in order to allow handlers to prevent the default behavior of a key press.
