In Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 the C1Calendar control includes a smart tag. A smart tag represents a short-cut tasks menu that provides the most commonly used properties in C1Calendar.
The C1Calendar control provides quick and easy access to the Property Builder and common properties through its smart tag.
To access the C1Calendar Tasks menu, click on the smart tag () in the upper-right corner of the C1Calendar control. This will open the C1Calendar Tasks menu.
The C1Calendar Tasks menu operates as follows:
Clicking the Web Schedule drop-down box opens the list items for the name of the C1Schedule control(s) that appear on the Web form. Selecting the C1Schedule item from the list binds the C1Schedule control to C1Calendar.
Show Other Month Days
When the Show Other Month Days checkbox is selected it shows the other month days that are not part of the calendar’s current month. This is selected by default.
When the Show Weekdays checkbox is selected it shows the weekdays of the current month on the calendar. This is selected by default.
Show Week Numbers
When the Show Week Numbers checkbox is selected it shows the week numbers of the current month on the calendar. This is not selected by default.
Clicking the Culture dropdown box opens up a list of different cultures that you can choose from. English (United States) is the default culture for the C1Calendar control.
Clicking the Weekday format dropdown box opens up a list of different formats (FirstLetter,FirstTwoLetters, Abbreviated) that you can choose from to set the format for the calendar’s weekdays.
Month Day Format
Clicking the Month Day Format dropdown box opens up a list of two items to choose from to specify no padding or zero padding for the calendar’s month day format.
First Day Of Week
Clicking the First Day Of Week dropdown box opens up a list of days from Sunday through Saturdaythat you can choose from to set the first day of week for the calendar.
When the Allow Preview checkbox is selected you can preview previous and next calendar months at run time.
Clicking the drop-down arrow in the Selection Mode opens the following list of selection modes for you to select from: Day, Days, Month, WeekDay, WeekNumber so you can specify the selection mode for the calendar.
Displays the default path for the visual style.
When the UseEmbeddedVisualStyles is selected it enables you to use the embedded visual styles.
The Visual style drop-down box allows you to set the VisualStyle property and change the C1Calendar control's appearance to one of the predefined themes. By default this is set to the ArcticFox theme. For more information about available visual styles, see Visual Styles.
Clicking on the About item displays the About dialog box, which is helpful in finding the version number of ComponentOne Studio for ASP.NET and online resources.
Clicking on the Edit Templates link changes the C1Calendar control into editing mode.
The C1Calendar Tasks menu for the Template Editing Mode operates as follows:
Clicking the drop-down arrow in the Display box opens the following list of displays for you to select from: Header and Footer, Calendar Header, Calendar Footer, and Custom Days.
• End Template Editing
Clicking the End Template Editing, ends the Template Editing Mode and returns to the current C1Calendar control.
