Adding Run-time Designer to Visual Basic

The end-user designer is an ActiveX control; the following steps describe how to include it in the Visual Basic IDE:

  1. Start Visual Basic.

  2. Choose Project > Components (Ctrl-T).

  3. Choose Data Dynamics ActiveReports Run-time Designer.
  4. Note: If the run-time designer entry does not appear in the list, make sure that “Selected Items Only” is not checked. If it still does not appear, make sure ARdespro2.dll is registered by running regsvr32 on ARdespro2.dll.

  5. Click OK to close the dialog box.
  6. The run-time designer icon should appear in the toolbox.
