Keeping Edit Mode Permanently On

Overview

You can specify that edit mode remains on when the user switches between cells. You might want to do this to emulate a table of edit controls. This setting is applied to all sheets in the book.

When edit mode remains on, no selections are possible.

Notes: For DLL users, when the SSSetBool function's SSB_EDITMODEPERMANENT option is TRUE, it overrides the SSSetEditMode function, and the focus rectangle is hidden (see Hiding the Focus Rectangle). For ActiveX users, when the EditModePermanent property is set to True, it overrides the EditMode property and the focus rectangle is hidden (see Hiding the Focus Rectangle).
