Spread Designer

To format a currency cell

In the Spread Designer,

1. Select a cell or block of cells.
2. Choose the cell type using one of the following methods:
   • Display the pop-up menu by right-clicking the cell or block of cells and then choose Currency.
   • From the Cell menu, choose Cell Type, Currency.
   • Choose the Currency button ( ) on the cell type toolbar.
   The Cell Type dialog box appears.
3. In the Cell Type dialog box, on the Settings tab,
   1. If you want to hide the currency symbol, clear the Show Currency Symbol check box.
   2. If you want to specify a custom currency symbol, type the symbol in the Currency Symbol box.
   3. If you want to specify a custom separator character, type the character in the Separator Symbol box and select the Show Separator Symbol check box.
   4. If you want to specify a custom decimal symbol, type the symbol in the Decimal Symbol box.
   5. If you want to specify whether a leading zero is displayed for values between 1.0 and –1.0, choose an item from the Leading Zero drop-down list box.
   6. If you want to specify a different format for positive values, choose an item from the Positive Style drop-down list box.
   7. If you want to specify a different format for negative values, choose an item from the Negative Style drop-down list box.
4. Choose the OK or Apply button.
