ComponentOne VSView 8.0
SetUp Files

ComponentOne VSView8 can be installed by downloading ComponentOne Studio Enterprise from www.componentone.com or using the ComponentOne Studio CD and walking through the installation wizard. When you are prompted, enter your serial number and complete the online registration. You may register any other ComponentOne products for which you have purchased a serial number at this time as well.

The following files will be installed into your Windows\System32 directory or, if you use Windows NT, into your WinNT\System and WinNT\System32 directories. To use VSView8 in your Visual Basic projects, you must include these files in the project:

VSPrint8.ocx

Contains the VSPrint8 control.

VSDraw8.ocx

Contains the VSDraw8 control.

VSVPort8.ocx

Contains the VSViewPort8 control.

VSPDF8.ocx

Contains the VSPDF8 control.

The ComponentOne Studio for ActiveX installation program will create the following directory: C:\Program Files\ComponentOne\Studio for ActiveX. This directory contains the following subdirectories:

VSView8: Contains a README.TXT file with information about the VSView8 library.

Utilities: Contains conversion utility for upgrading projects from version 7.0 to 8.0.

Note: If you are using a 64-bit machine and need to use ComponentOne ActiveX controls in Visual Studio, you must install both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of the controls.
