Storage Mode > Using the XArrayDB Object |
XArrayDB is an ActiveX object designed as a drop-in replacement for Visual Basic variant arrays. The XArrayDB object, which can be used outside the scope of True DBList, is functionally similar to a standard array but provides additional flexibility. For example, data is automatically preserved when rows (or columns) are inserted or deleted.
Once created, an XArrayDB object is assigned to a TDBList or TDBCombo control via the list's Array property (usually in the Form_Load event). You can create as many XArrayDB objects as you want, then attach them to one or more lists as needed.
