In many cases, the raw numeric data that True DBList receives from its data source is not suitable for end-user display. For example, date fields may need to be converted to a specific international format; currency fields may contain too many insignificant digits after the decimal point. Therefore, True DBList provides access to the intrinsic formatting of Visual Basic on a per-column basis by means of the NumberFormat property.
For cases where Visual Basic's formatting is inadequate, or for other development environments such as Visual C++, True DBList provides an event, FormatText, that enables your application to override the default formatting on a per-column basis.
