In this tutorial, you will learn how to apply the effects of the container to child objects within the container.

1. Start with Tutorial 9 - Setting TDBContainer3D Effects.

2. Add two Text Boxes (Text1, Text2) to Form1 as shown in the following figure.

   

3. Go to the Property Pages Child Controls tab. Click the Insert button to insert a new Child control style. Set Key to Child1, and select Text1 from the Names combo, and DblRaised from the Effect combo.

4. Go to the General property page of TDBContainer3D1, set the ApplyEffect to 2 - ChildControls.

Run the program and observe the following:

Notice how the child control style affects Text1.

If you change the ApplyEffect to 1 – All and set Effect to DblRaised, notice the change in the appearance of the Text Boxes.
