General Property Page (TDBText)

The TDBText control's General property page is used to set general properties such as cursor and highlight settings, the entry mode, and so on.

The following list describes each property that can be set in the General property page:

EditMode

Sets the editing mode for the control.

IMEMode

Sets the default Input Method Editor (IME) mode.

IMEStatus

Sets the conversion status of the Input Method Editor (IME).

MousePointer:TDBText

Sets the type of mouse pointer to be displayed.

MoveOnLRKey

Sets whether the focus automatically moves to the next or previous control when the user moves the cursor using the left and the right arrow keys.

ScrollBars

Sets whether the control has horizontal or vertical scroll bars.

ScrollBarMode

Sets how to display the scroll bars.

PasswordChar

Sets/returns the character used as a placeholder for the characters typed by the user.

MaxLength

Returns or sets the maximum number of characters or bytes that the control can hold.

Char auto conversion

Click to perform automatic character conversion.

Beep on Error

Click to enable beeps on error (see ErrorBeep).

FuriganaOn

Sets whether to invoke the Furigana event.

Highlight text

Sets whether to highlight text in the control (see HighlightText).

Text length in bytes

Click to apply text length in bytes.

Use MultiLine

Click to apply accepting and displaying multiple lines of text.

Read-only Mode

Click to apply read-only mode (see ReadOnly).

Show Popup Menu

Click to enable pop up menu display (see ShowContextMenu).
