General Property Page (TDBDate)

The TDBDate control's General property page is used to set general properties such as minimum and maximum date ranges, cursor and highlight settings, entry mode, and so on.

The following list describes each property that can be set in the General property page:

ClipMode

Sets how data should be copied to the clipboard.

CursorPosition

Sets the cursor position (field) upon receiving focus.

EditMode

Sets the editing mode for the control.

FirstMonth

Sets the base month for the fiscal year.

HighlightText

Sets how to select the text in the control.

MousePointer:TDBDate

Sets the type of mouse pointer to be displayed.

MoveOnLRKey

Sets whether the focus automatically moves to the next or previous control when the user moves the cursor using the left and the right arrow keys.

CenturyMode

Sets the method to use for filling the century data for a partial year.

ShowLiterals

Sets whether to display the literals during user entry.

ValidateMode

Sets the validation mode for the control during input.

TabAction

Sets whether the tab key will move focus between controls or between fields within the control.

PromptChar

Sets the character to use as a prompt.

Read-Only Mode

Click to apply read-only mode (see ReadOnly).

Beep On Error

Click to enable beeps on error (see ErrorBeep).

Show Popup Menu

Click to enable pop up menu display (see ShowContextMenu).
