ComponentOne Query can be used in two modes:
For ad hoc queries limited to a single recordset, use DataSource mode described in this chapter. It is the easiest way to implement ad hoc query functionality. In this mode, you don’t need the Schema Designer. This mode is limited in that your queries cannot span multiple tables.
For ad hoc queries spanning multiple tables, leave the DataSource property empty and define a schema using the Schema Designer.
