Several format codes enable you to define formatting for a range of numbers, in finer details than the built-in positive, negative and zero groups. The codes that define conditional formatting are [>value], [<value], [=value], [<>value], [>=value], and[<=value]. Use these codes to define new groups whose format codes are applied only when the condition is true. Each group is separated by a semicolon (;). The following example defines special formatting for values greater than 1000:
