Studio for LightSwitch 2013 v3 is released with several new features and bug fixes. The extensions in this studio version use ComponentOne Studio for Silverlight version 5.0.20133.381 (OLAP version 5.0.20133.254).

New Features:
- Added support for the Gantt chart type
Platform/Environment Changes:
The setup for ComponentOne Studio for LightSwitch has a major version number of 4.0, but the extensions in ComponentOne Studio for LightSwitch Desktop have different major version numbers depending upon the version of Visual Studio you are using.
- For Visual Studio 2012, the major version number is 2.0.
- For Visual Studio 2013, the major version number is 4.0.
FlexGrid
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a runtime bug that occurred when the command bar of the C1FlexGridRow element contained a collection command such as EditSelected.
- Fixed a runtime exception in VS2013, "Value does not fall within the expected range" when built-in controls are used to represent grid columns.
- Formatting specified in the data designer is now honored in FlexGrid Numeric and Date/Time columns.
- Fixed a bug where saving and reloading filters did not work on Boolean columns with True/False presentation.
- Fixed a bug where no rows were displayed when saving and reloading filter definitions involving related entities.
- Fixed an exception that occurred in the runtime customization mode when changing the type of a column from DateTime to a Label or TextBox.
- The Show as Link property now works as expected for Summary columns.
- Fixed a bug so that the “Dialogs must be user-initiated” error message does not occur when printing FlexGrid from a web deployment.
RichTextBox
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a regression bug in Silverlight assemblies where images/labels were missing from some commands in the ribbon toolbar.
pdfViewer
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an exception that occurred when interacting with a viewer control in SSRS mode when the parent screen is reopened.
Scheduler
Enhancements:
- The appointments dialog now supports Right-To-Left in the Hebrew culture.
- The year dropdown on the calendar control adheres to the min/max range of the associated scheduler control.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug so that when day view is specified at design time, the control now starts up with today’s date. Formerly, the first day of the current week was shown
OLAP
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an invalid cast exception that occurred when saving favorites containing filters on a strongly-typed LightSwitch object.
- Toolbar menus (Grid, Chart, Report) in C1OlapPage are now closed when another control or screen receives focus.
